Betfair Romania is the largest software development center of the British group Betfair. The company’s brief was based on the necessity to turn the workspace into something flexible, which would facilitate the interaction between the employees, something attractive and which would make them proud. In a nutshell, the new Betfair headquarters aimed to be the best employee workspace and to the e,employer, the perfect space to enjoy the best specialists in the field.
The concept with which our team won the furnishing project contest was: Betfair: The Social Hub. The objective was to create a background where each of the 350 employees would identify with and which would stimulate their creativity and innovative qualities. Similar to a city, the Betfair: The Social Hub space hosts mostly open spaces, meeting points which make breaks more pleasant and relaxing, versatile meeting rooms which can be adapted depending of the meetings specifics, as well as spaces offering privacy, for one-to-one discussions.
If in the office space, we opted for neutral, ergonomic and professional furnishings, the common and relaxation areas stand out through creativity and surprise elements. The meeting rooms were equipped with multimedia solutions which allow the Betfair team to communicate as easily and efficiently as possible with colleagues worldwide. The common element between all these spaces, but also the link with the company’s headquarters in London, is brick, very common element in British architecture, also present in the indoor walls of the Betfair building.
Betfair Romania’s Office won The Most Office Award, at the firtst office competition in Romania.
People chose architects, but they`re the wrong people to create the best offices. You need interior designers and really good interior designers. That`s why we came across with Morphoza. When I first came into the new office, it was incredible to watch people`s impressions of the tremendous atmosphere that we created with the interior design. They really did set the standards beyond what I expected.
