HARMONY & ELEGANCE

Brief

This interior design project included a 4 floors mansion: basement, ground floor, floor, mansard, with garden. From the beginning, the owners wanted a contemporary design, but, in the same time, a mature and clean one, which will combine noble materials, lasting, as well as wood, stone, glass, leather, velvet. The whole project is an important symbiosis between the design created by Lucian Pop, Evosign’s manager, and Morphoza’s team, doubled by the owner’s good taste and passion for beauty.

Interior Design Concept

The generous space of the home with its tall windows gave the opportunity of furnishing with dark-toned furniture. Thus, we used a lot of black furniture, outlined by the white-painted walls. The oversized windows give generous natural light which was completed by an artificial lighting system. The interior revealed upon entry is made of clean, straight lines of Lago furniture collections, combined with the noble materials of the Baxter, Cassina, Porada and Smania houses of design.

The ground floor hosts a study area, consisting of a Baxter armchair and small table, padded with nubuck leather in cappuccino tones, and the kitchen. The key element of the study area is a sepia painting which decorates an entire wall and serves as background for this area. The kitchen is separate from the rest of the house and has a simple, airy feel. With walls painted white and simple lighting pieces, the kitchen consists of Lago L-shaped furniture, Air table, also Lago, and Cassina by Philippe Starck chairs, a modern adaptation of classical padding, on leather, with thin chromed legs.

The most animated house area is the common living-dining area. The 6 m height of the living room created the need to install a remote-control system for handling the draping. This space also hosts a socializing area which includes a Glamour leather couch by Doimo Sofas, a purple velvet armchair by Isola, an Infinity by Porada table, black, shiny glass furniture from Lago and a decorative stone-set fireplace with a glass front.

The floor hosts the couple’s bedroom and the child’s room. The bedroom’s centre piece is the bed framed by sheer white chiffon and cream velvet-draped windows. The massive wood floor with grooves outined by walnut tree fittings supports the deep-purple velvet frame of the Smania bed. This bedroom’s elegance comes from using velvet, the aspect of the lighting bodies and texture of the natural fur cover.
